Brokk's Progeny Take Top Honours in the Breed Classes at Cornwall Gundog Club 2009
Well done to two of Brokk's progeny, Amiryck Atlas at Farlap (Tennant) and Leiborschy Skarlat, who did so well at Cornwall Gundog Club Open Show in April 2009. Tennant was awarded Best Puppy in Breed and Best of Breed, and Skarlat Best Opposite Sex. A week later Tennant did the same at South West Gundog Club Open Show. (Photo courtesy of Farlap Photography)
Leiborschy Lana of Lanokk
We are very fortunate to have Lana living with us. She has shone from day one, far exceeding our expectations. Her puppy show career saw her taking three Puppy Group placings at Open shows, Best Minor Puppy in Show, and Reserve Best Puppy in Show. At 14 months, at her first Open show out of Puppy, she was awarded Gundog Group 3.
She qualified in style for Crufts 2007 at her first Championship show at 6 months taking Best NSC Puppy. She was awarded Reserve Best Bitch at championship level at 15 months, and Best Bitch at 16 months, being beaten for Best of Breed by her sire, Bayside Brokk of Lanokk Sh CM. We are delighted with Lana's hip score of 2/3.

Leiborschy Skarlat
What a stunner Skarlat is. Successfully shown, she has been highly placed in the Gamekeepers' class at Crufts twice. Keen to work, Skarlat competes in working tests and regularly works on a shoot. At the CLA Game Fair 2010, Skarlat was placed 2nd in the Novice Pick Up class from a huge entry - well done to her very proud owner and handler, Sharon. Hip score 4/4.
Leiborschy Steffan
We are lucky to see lots of this beautiful boy, who's so like his sire, Brokk. Steffan has also had an Open show Puppy Group placing.
Brains as well as beauty, he has achieved his Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Hip score 5/4.
Steffan has sired his first litter of eight, born in November 2008.
Amiryck Meissa
In April 2008, Ragnolds Meadow Brown at Amiryck (Cally) had a litter of nine puppies sired by Brokk. Amiryck Meissa (Daisy) lives with her dam Cally, relatives Apple and Herby, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a Pointer and several alpaca. Daisy, who is maturing beautifully, is being trained to work and will be lightly shown. At her first Spring Pointing Test, aged 11 months, Daisy achieved the grading of "Good".
Amiryck Atlas at Farlap
What a handsome boy Daisy's brother Amiryck Atlas at Farlap (Tennant) is growing up to be. He lives with nine bloodhounds, two deerhounds and a Lakeland terrier. His owner, Sam, says he is easily the most responsive and affectionate dog she has had, and he's a real gem. At his first championship show, Gundog Society of Wales, in October 2009, Tennant was awarded Reserve Best Dog. Hip score 6/5. Photo courtesy of Farlap Photography www.farlap-photography.com
Gosflight Tallon of Lanokk
It was wonderful to see Brokk's litter with Popeshill Peppermint (Pepper) grow up locally on Anglesey in Autumn 2008, and very early on we were smitten by this young man. Tallon now lives happily alongside his sire, his half-sister, Lana, and smooths Red and Fynn. Brimming with confidence, there's never a dull moment with him around. Tallon was awarded Best Puppy in Show at the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla Association Open Show in September 2009 and HWVA Top Puppy Dog 2009/10. Hip score 4/4.
For more on Tallon, see him on his pages here
Gosflight Almeri
This lovely young lady is Tallon's litter sister, Gosflight Almeri (Zeta). She has gone to live with another Wire, Zak, and is being trained to work. She is hunting and pointing with confidence and enthusiasm, and is a joy to work and live with according to her owner. Zeta worked on her first shoot aged 13 months. We enjoy having regular updates of her progress. Hip score 2/3.
Leiborschy Robi
August 2009 saw the arrival of 13 puppies to Brokk and Leiborschy Yendah Sh CM. Pretty Robi spent her early months here with us in North Wales before starting a new life in Rutland with fellow Wire owners, to whom we know this special girl will bring much happiness. Robi qualified for Crufts 2011 with a class win, being beaten in the challenge for Best Puppy in Breed by her brother Yerik.
Leiborschy Ziva of Szepzeg & Leiborschy Dover of Szepzeg
We are proud that two of Brokk's progeny from his litter with Leiborschy Yendah Sh CM have gone to live in Queensland, Australia. L Ziva of Szepzeg and her brother L Dover of Szepzeg arrived at their new home in early December 2009 after a month in quarantine. We are sure these gorgeous puppies will shine in the showring for their delighted owner Jane-Ann.
* At his first show, Sunshine Coast KC, March 2010, Dover goes Best Puppy in Group from 15 exhibits *
* Well done to Dover - Best Puppy in Show, Queensland Kennel Council All Group Championship Show, June 2010 *
Leiborschy Yerik
This good looking young man, Yerik, is also from the Brokk/Yendah litter, and lives with his half-brother, Steffan. Super-confident, he loves to show off, and has qualified for Crufts 2011. Yerik has had an open show Gundog Puppy Group 2 placing, and at his last championship show as a puppy, he was awarded Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best Dog.
Leiborschy Ylam
Another handsome Brokk/Yendah son, Ylam has gone to live with Mila, a Wire, and three smooth vizsla. An eye-catching puppy in the litter, Ylam is already enjoying success in the show ring, with a two open show Puppy Group placings and Crufts 2011 qualification.
Riannor Oszkar
November 2009 saw the arrival of nine puppies (five bitches and four dogs) from Riannor Lenci and Brokk. The very handsome Riannor Oszkar (Noa) has stayed with his dam, Lenci, and grandmother, Vanna. We look forward to seeing him regularly and wish him well in the show ring. Noa qualified for Crufts 2011 at his first show aged six months.
Moricroft Mattrassa
The very pretty Moricroft Mattrassa (Mattie) is from Brokk's June 2009 litter with Moricroft Mata Hari (Darcy). Mattie enjoys the company of another Wire, Hudson, and has delighted her owner with her natural working ability and keeness to learn. Mattie has taken part in her first working test.
Hillfern Goshawk & Hillfern Sandpiper
Lanspar Tavaszi of Hillfern (Zulu) and Brokk's litter of 10 was born in January 2009. Their breeder, Andy, was so pleased with the litter he kept two, Hillfern Goshawk (Stan, pictured left) and H Sandpiper (Pip). Despite having a young family as well, Andy has put so much time into training the pair for work and it's a joy to see them in action. Stan won the GSP Southwest Puppy Working Test with 92/100 in April - his first test. Stan's hip score is 4/3 and Pip's 4/4.
Cuffnells Sweet Violet
A wonderful uniform and typy litter of five dogs and four bitches out of Brokk and Leiborschy Eris Via Cuffnells was born in May 2010. The only problem when I spent the weekend with them was telling them apart! A super first litter for their breeder, Jane, who has kept the very eye-catching Cuffnells Sweet Violet (Bula) to live with mum Eris and fellow Wire, Lidi. Bula has real attitude and we look forward to seeing her in the show ring later in the year.
Cuffnells Forrester
Cuffnells Forrester (Oakley) from the Eris and Brokk litter is proving to be quite a lively young man who knows what he wants! He lives with Freddie the Wire and Labs Roddie and Bertie. Oakley's owner Penny is thrilled with her new boy and finds him utterly adorable. She says he is "a very special boy". Oakley has a busy life ahead, with ringcraft and obedience classes to attend, before later moving on to gundog training. We're looking forward to watching him grow up.
Zoldmali Csanad
Brokk's litter with Multi-Champion Zoldmali Alma from Hungary was born in May 2010 and we enjoyed seeing many photos and videos of the eight puppies grow, including the gorgeous Zoldmali Csanad (Guba). Guba has stayed in Hungary to live with Pipacs the Wire and Molly the Labrador, where he will be trained for the field and the show ring.
Zoldmali Csongor
After more than 25 years of owning and breeding some of the top smooth vizslas in the United States, Mark and Bonnie Goodwein (Koppertone Vizslas) are now the proud owners of their first wirehaired vizsla. Brokk and Alma's son Zoldmali Csongor (Izzy) arrived in California on 16 July and will be trained for show, field and maybe a little obedience as time permits.
Zoldmali Cseles
Another gorgeous Brokk and Alma son, Zoldmali Cseles is staying in Hungary where he also will be trained for work and the show ring. We look forward to following his progress.
Zoldmali Csutka & Zoldmali Csoda
Two special Brokk and Alma daughters, Zoldmali Csutka and Zoldmali Csoda, are staying with their breeder Zsofi in Hungary. Very confident and outgoing, Csutka and Csoda are charming everyone they meet, and have started their working training with enthusiasm. We wish these beautiful girls success in the field and ring.
