ABOUT US

Our lives changed when Brokk (Bayside Brokk of Lanokk Sh CM) joined our family in the summer of 2004, and he opened up an exciting new chapter for us.

We have owned smooth Vizslak for 11 years, and we currently have the pleasure of smooths Red and Fynn living with us also.

There was something about Wires that we just couldn't resist, and after a long and patient wait for the right puppy, Brokk moved in. We have never had such a special dog, who is so willing to please.

With the dogs in mind, my husband, John, and I moved to the edge of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales in 2006 where we are now fortunate to have enough space to have Brokk's daughter, Lana (Leiborschy Lana of Lanokk) and his son, Tallon (Gosflight Tallon of Lanokk).

What a fantastic breed this is. We are well and truly smitten by their endearing characteristics. The dogs live with us indoors, and are considered to be important family members.

As well as meeting many new friends through training the dogs, I have been introduced to the world of dog showing. Brokk has enjoyed numerous successes in the show ring, and Lana, like her sire, kicked off her showing career in style, and is achieving wonderful results at Open and Championship level.

Life is now never dull, and the dogs lead a happy and active outdoor life which helps keep them in peak condition. We have the moors on our doorstep for them to practise their hunting, and there is no more pleasing sight than seeing them run free together.

Wires are now a major part of our life. We are members of the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla Association. I have passed the HWVA Breed Specific Seminar and judge Wires at Open show level. We are also members of the Hungarian Vizsla Club and I am a member of Caernarfon and District Canine Society, Anglesey Canine Society and Gundog Club of North Wales.

We welcome enquiries from like-minded people, and are more than happy to discuss the breed with you.  Rachel Walker
